Certain media formats or sources may not be technically supported by Reddit or RedGems. If media consistently fails to download or looks broken, please reach out to support.

Downloads can be delayed when a Redditor posts a very large number of files, or when large videos or GIFs take longer than usual to process.

Yes. Individual files must be under 300 MB. If a Redditor posts hundreds of files at once, it can take a few days for everything to copy to your Google Drive. The free one-time tier has a cap too.

No — never share your Google Account password with anyone. RedGems uses Google's official authorization (OAuth 2.0) to securely access only its own dedicated folder in your Drive. You can grant or revoke access anytime, and RedGems cannot see your other files.

Only permission to save content into its dedicated RedGems folder. Access is granted securely through Google's official authorization and is limited strictly to that folder.

Yes, at any time. You control the connection through Google's official settings — RedGems never sees the other files in your Drive.

At present only Google Drive is supported. Support for other services such as OneDrive may be considered later, based on user demand and technical feasibility.

If your Drive runs out of space, new media won't be copied until space is available again, which can lead to missed downloads. We recommend keeping an eye on your available storage.

Yes — you can move it into a subfolder using Drive's 'Move' feature. Avoid deleting and recreating the folder, though, as that can cause access issues.

Granting RedGems access to your Google Drive more than once can create several folders. RedGems uses the newest one, so if you want everything in one place you may need to consolidate the files manually.

RedGems downloads each media file only once, but our support team can reset your account memory so that currently available media can be re-downloaded. (If the original Redditor has deleted the media, it cannot be recovered.)

If the folder is still in your Google Drive Bin, restore it — that should bring everything back as before. If it's no longer recoverable, set up a fresh Google Drive connection from your dashboard, and remove the old RedGems permission from your Google Account security settings first to avoid conflicts.

Nothing is lost on your end. Anything RedGems already saved to your Drive stays there, even after the original post is removed from Reddit.
